Description

Tringa glareola LINNÉ 1758, the Wood Sandpiper lives during breeding time in marshy areas or at lakes and rivers. Beyond the breeding time he can be found at lakes, ponds and other waters with muddy shores. Even if he prefer the close by of the coast he is rarely seen at the seashore.
