About ME
Iztok Škornik was born in 1964 in Koper, Slovenia. As early as in his childhood, he took to nature and as a schoolboy became involved in naturalist photography. He is particularly enamoured of birds, which he has been studying since 1979. In 1980, he became highly enthused by Secovlje salt-pans, where he still spends most of his time, considering that Secovlje Salina Landscape Park employed him as a professional associate for nature conservationist monitoring in the area. In the meanwhile he has given up classical naturalist photography and is now mostly devoted to digiscoping.
